The Orc Camp
Hidden in the mountains overlooking Vlorissfarne, the Greenskin tribe was not always the enemy. Once they dwelled on the other side of the mountain range, keeping to themselves for the most part in their tunnels. However, the conflicts that marked the Empire’s tumultuous birth resulted in many refugees fleeing from the Drow and into the hillsides. Unwilling to let rebel forces fester, the Empire chased these escapees into the mountains, waging war with little regard for the denizens already dwelling there. As the rebels delved into the orc caves to escape bombardment from above, the orcs, trolls, and goblins were forced out by sheer numbers alone. In revenge they claimed the abandoned elven outposts on the mountainside closest to Vlorissfarne, building new homes out of the waste and rubble. While the rebel forces were defeated (at great cost to the Empire), those who survived decided to start anew in the canyons that the greenskins had once inhabited. And so the tribe remained, and their anger lingered along with them. Over the years they have posed siege after siege against the walls of Vlorissfarne, beaten back every time - though sometimes just barely, each defeat only bolsters their fighting spirit.
